| Description: | The Tomica Hero Series is a duology of television shows created by the toy company Takara Tomy, better known for being the creator of the toyline that Americans would call Transformers. The shows were made to compete with Toei's Super Sentai series and Tsuburaya's Ultraman Franchise but was sadly short-lived due to ratings from being up against both programs in their respective time slots.
The series mainly focuses on a group of superhero rescue workers from the United Fire Defense Agency (UFDA), who are assigned to stop various disasters that are too big for normal rescue crews and firefighters to handle called Super Disasters. While there are villains in the show the heroes must face and fight, the series focuses more on rescuing civilians from disasters caused by the bad guys. Occasionally, the shows offers lessons on safety (EX. using CPR, Fire Safety) and education on how rescue workers such as Hyper Rescue in Japan do their jobs.
